Paragon Cause’s Edgily Brooding Downtempo Track “Someone Else” Conjures Imagery of Future Cybernetic Rebels

Indie Midlands Review of Save Me

Musically ‘Save Me’ reminds me of 80’s acts like the late Kirsty Maccoll and to a degree Voice Of The Beehive. All be it with a fuzzier guitar sound. The vocals are pure and suit the song well. Lyrically it’s nice when a song has a genuine message – “Words for me fall on deaf ears when I’m miles ahead, Let me take you back. History repeats itself.” sings vocalist Michelle Opthof. “You cannot save them all” she reflects on the fact you need to sometimes accept you can’t do everything and no matter how hard you try some people just can’t be saved.

Save Me by Paragon Cause based out of Ottawa, Canada feels at once fresh and yet comfortable. Not comfortable as chill but as in old friends comfortable. Their sound is big, lush and passionate but classic too with 80's and 90's synth tones.
